Meryl Fisackerly, CEcD, MEDP
Chief Operating Officer
Meryl Fisackerly, a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and Economic Development Master Practitioner (MEDP), serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Golden Triangle Development LINK, a position she has held since 2017. In this pivotal role, she leads the organization’s daily operations, directs industrial recruitment and business retention strategies, and spearheads high-impact private-sector fundraising initiatives. She also serves as the administrator of the Lowndes County Industrial Development Authority, managing a multi-million-dollar budget, overseeing land development projects, and maintaining critical partnerships with contractors and public stakeholders.
During Meryl’s tenure at the LINK, the region has successfully secured over $3.5 billion in capital investments and created more than 1,500 jobs, playing a key role in transforming the Golden Triangle region into one of the most dynamic economic corridors in the Southeast. Her strategic vision and results-driven approach have earned her recognition across the state for excellence in economic development, leadership, and innovation.
Meryl is a proud graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Prior to joining the LINK, she honed her business acumen in the sales division of Columbus Brick Company.
In addition to her professional achievements, Meryl is deeply engaged in community and civic life. She has served on several local and regional boards and is a passionate advocate for both her community and the growth of the Golden Triangle region. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through exercise, exploring her creative side with floral design, and bringing people together by hosting events. Meryl and her husband, Brinton, are the proud parents of three daughters—Mamie Kate, Martha, and Meri Grace—and reside in Columbus, Mississippi.
