GTRLINK Project Manager to Lead Development for Monroe County

Golden Triangle, Mississippi – Chelsea Baulch, PCED, has been named Executive Director of the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce. She will be responsible for leading economic and community development efforts in Monroe County.

Prior to her appointment, Baulch served as Project Manager for the Golden Triangle Development LINK, having joined the organization in 2012. In this capacity, she conducted research for potential development leads, crafted RFIs for prospective locations, maintained databases for information and property and produced marketing and recruitment materials. In previous positions with the GTR LINK, Baulch focused on constituent relations, organization and planning.

“Monroe County is very lucky to have Chelsea,” said Joe Max Higgins, CEO of the GTR LINK. “Of all the young professionals in our business, she is by far one of the most talented and hardest working. We expect to see her continue on a path of success and wish her all the best in this new endeavor.”

Baulch received her Professional Community and Economic Development certification through the Community Development Council in 2016. Baulch received her bachelor of arts in communication with a public relations emphasis from Mississippi State University in 2011. Prior to working with the GTR LINK she was an event coordinator for Busylad Rentals in Tupelo, Miss., where she coordinated social and corporate events.
