Meryl Fisackerly, CEcD, MEDP
Chief Executive Officer
Meryl Fisackerly, a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and Economic Development Master Practitioner (MEDP), serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Golden Triangle Development LINK. Since joining the organization in 2017, she has played a pivotal role in advancing economic growth across the Golden Triangle region through strategic industrial recruitment, business retention and expansion efforts, and high-impact private-sector fundraising initiatives.
Prior to being named President & CEO, Meryl served as the LINK’s Chief Operating Officer, where she oversaw the organization’s daily operations and led many of its most significant economic development projects and initiatives. She also serves as the administrator of the Lowndes County Industrial Development Authority, managing a multi-million-dollar budget, overseeing land development projects, and maintaining critical partnerships with contractors and public stakeholders.
During Meryl’s tenure at the LINK, the region has secured more than $3.5 billion in capital investment and created over 1,500 jobs, helping position the Golden Triangle as one of the most dynamic economic development regions in the Southeast. Her strategic leadership, collaborative approach, and dedication to regional growth have earned her recognition across Mississippi for excellence in economic development and innovation.
Meryl is a proud graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Prior to joining the LINK, she worked in the sales division of Columbus Brick Company, where she developed a strong foundation in business development and relationship management.
In addition to her professional achievements, Meryl remains deeply involved in community and civic initiatives throughout the region. She has served on numerous local and regional boards and is a passionate advocate for the continued growth and success of the Golden Triangle. Outside of work, she enjoys exercising, floral design, and hosting gatherings for family and friends. Meryl and her husband, Brinton, are the proud parents of three daughters — Mamie Kate, Martha, and Meri Grace — and reside in Columbus, Mississippi.
